ABOUT GENE ALCARAZ

I'm a photographer based in Wichita, Kansas. I always love photography ever since a project back in middle school. They had us picked up a point and shoot film camera and photograph random things at local park and that what sparked my love for photography.

 

About 4 years ago while i was in Las Vegas with my family. We went to a local swap meet/flea market. I came across this booth that was selling some camera's, I asked the lady how much are you camera's. Well she gave me a price. One was out of my price range, and the other camera was a steal so i couldn't pass it up.

Picking up that camera brought back some good memories i had back from middle school. I did look at photography books every once in awhile for many years before i picked recently purchased camera. As soon as a I got back home I started looking into street photography and started shooting away. I really do love street photography and telling stories of though the photograph.

About 2 1/2 years shooting street photography I wanted more so i started shooting portraits and so here we are today.
